The Laveggio River flows through part of Mendrisiotto, an area where residential areas, industrial areas, agricultural landscapes, natural areas and important communication axes coexist. The result is a valley floor that is difficult to interpret, with conflicting planning zones, but which has areas of naturalistic value with little known potential for livability.
Medacta for Life Foundation supports the project Parco del Laveggio in Mendrisiotto!
During 2023, new pathways will be realized along the Laveggio River to cover areas that are inaccessible today, an educational trail will be implememnted, shaded areas, benches and signage. All to deliver a quality green area for recreation to the residents of the district.
Everyone is invited to take part by making a donation or participating in one of the volunteer activities.
