Celebrating its 17th edition, the charity football tournament ”Passa il pallone della solidarietà” took place in Morbio Inferiore last June. Organised by the local Football Club, this is a well-established sporting event launched by SOS Villaggi dei Bambini and involving local companies. The aim is to raise awareness of the above-mentioned foundation and its fundraising programmes for children around the world. The foundation’s website reads: “We protect children from the risk of losing their families, offer children in emergency situations the warmth of a home, support families in managing their future independently and contribute to community development”. Companies are involved through financial contributions to SOS Children’s Villages, as well as by registering teams of employees for the tournament.
This year, the aim of the event was to “support, thanks to the contributions made by the participating companies, a programme to promote equal education by SOS Children’s Villages for children in Bharatpur (Nepal) after the Covid -19 pandemic”.
Medacta International participated in the tournament with two teams -My Medacta and My Medacta Pro- and 24 colleagues, to whom we extend our heartfelt thanks. Medacta for Life Foundation contributed financially to support the valuable project for the education of Nepalese children in the chosen project.
