Last week, through a heartfelt message, Dr. Lysenko informed us that the shipment of supplies recently donated by our Foundation was delivered to Feofaniya Clinical Hospital where he is working in Kiev. This is the third cargo of humanitarian goods that since the outbreak of the crisis the Foundation has purchased and, with the support of partners in support, shipped to Ukraine.
In his recent and final appeal, Dr. Lysenko stated the urgency of some new surgical equipment. Medacta Int. SA and the Foundation arranged for the purchase and transport to Kiev of an intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring system, which arrived at its destination precisely on Friday, March 11, 2023. The cost of the equipment is around € 120k, to which must be added customs costs and shipping (the latter again operated by the Francesca Rava Foundation, passing through Dr. Bodnar, to whom the Foundation had donated a pediatric probe last March, see article).
As Lysenko informs us, the neurophysiological monitoring system will be first put into use next March 31 to make a major scoliosis operation. Inomed, our supplier, has already been on the spot for the installation and all the necessary checks to the implementation of the machine. The neurophysiologist from Feofaniya Clinical Hospital is joined by a colleague from another hospital for optimizing the use of the new system.
From our side we wish the very best to all those who day after day continue on the front lines to fight this battle, without weapons but with lifesaving aids for precious human lives.
