The Town Council of Castel San Pietro is organising a large event on Sunday 26th May at the municipal school centre to celebrate with the population, and all those interested, the results achieved in the second and final phase of the Castello Sostenibile project, a pilot project anchored in the principles of Agenda 2030 and aimed at implementing a long-term sustainable development strategy.
In March last year, the Town Council similarly presented the results of the first phase of the project, which addressed the environmental aspect of the entire action and produced the first (“Environmental”) Sustainability Report of the Town Council.
The second stage, developed over the past year and to be presented next Sunday, focuses on the social and economic parts of the sustainable development strategy, complementing what has already been developed on the environmental level. The project has the support of the canton’s Department of Territory.
Preceding the official part of the event scheduled at the end of the afternoon, there will be a big celebration open to everyone – which will also include scouts and schools; therefore, families and children – starting at 2 pm. Here, local activities that have expressed an interest in participating will be given space. Various entities, including ours and Medacta International, will show citizens and interested parties their work and the efforts and results they have achieved in the environmental, social and energy fields.
