The outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine (Feb. 2022) has delineated a dramatic situation, resulting in a humanitarian crisis, which involves the entire local population, both civilian and non-civilian.
Fondazione Medacta for Life has reacted to support Charities close to it, and with whose mission and aims it shares, in order to provide more targeted and calibrated aid to the afflicted country:

– Soroptimist Mendrisiotto Organisation
Fondazione Medacta for Life is committed to supporting the above-mentioned Fondazione Francesca Rava and Soroptimist Mendrisiotto through donations, the purchase of medical aids and medicines, as well as through the collection of goods in kind stored in warehouses made available by Medacta Int. SA. With their know-how and direct contacts, these two organisations have contributed to the logistics of specific purchases as well as organising transport to the destination.
In January 2023, the Medacta for Life Foundation and Medacta International again answered a request from surgeon Lysenko of the Feofanya Hospital in Kiev to supply and ship a neuromonitoring system for the operating theatre.
