Starting this year, Medacta for Life Foundation and Medacta International will replace the traditional mimosa spring given to female colleagues on International Women’s Day with a donation to a non-profit organization committed to protecting and supporting women in difficulty.
For this coming 8 March, Medacta International SA and the Medacta for Life Foundation have chosen to make a donation toCasa Armònia.
Associazione Armònia provides a safe, protected environment where women experiencing severe social and psychological distress can receive support, information, and a listening ear. The Association also runs Casa Armònia, a facility that offers temporary accommodation to women and their children for a defined period of time.
This tangible gesture in support of an organization active in the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland is meant to be our “symbolic mimosa”, to wish all women a happy Women’s Day — today and every day of the year.
